1/1000 of a Second

The Exhibition

Anthony incorporates a minimalistic approach within his photography and this simplicity shifts our perspective so the imagery is less about an actual place and more about emotional state. In this series of photographs “Escapes” he uses negative space and an ethereal aesthetic to provide the viewer with a sense of serenity and calm, sharing the emotions of the moments he captures.
His post-production style offers pastel expressionism to further soothe the soul offering the viewer the opportunity to escape into the purest essence of solitude. Anthony is drawn to water and open space, so you will see this narrative in many of his photographs.

The Photographer

British born Anthony Lamb is a fine art photographer based in London and Dubai. Anthony was always motivated to pursue a career in the arts, he attended art college and studied Furniture and Product Design at Nottingham University in the UK.
Anthony’s photography is based on a minimalist approach that aims to reduce distraction by eliminating objects that sit outside the main subject.
By using negative space in his photography, he intends to draw the eye into the main focus of the photograph.

Northern Uganda

Northern Uganda
Brian Hodges

The Exhibition

Conflict and violence have plagued much of Uganda since its independence in 1962. The most protracted of these conflicts. the insurgency against the Lord’s Resistance Army, lasted nearly 18 years. Nearly 2 million people were forcibly displaced and confined into settlements and tens of thousands were kidnapped, mutilated or killed. The conflict eventually ceased; In 2007 Lord’s Resistance Army retreated from northern Uganda.
Today, a decade after the end of hostilities, the region appears rejuvenated — a bustling trade and business centre with buildings shooting up and a renewed sense of optimism.

The Photographer

A seasoned collaborator and worldwide traveller, Brian Hodges is a travel documentary and editorial photographer known for capturing authentic moments and images with a powerful connection to place.
